Bakery is an imperative part of the Hotel Management curriculum. In Bakery 1st year the students are taught all the basic aspects of baking and how a bakery works. The students are exposed to various methods and techniques of baking such as kneading, creaming, folding etc. Our Bakery Chef Mr. Sucharu Sharma has an advance proficiency in the field of bakery, he is an exceptional teacher and a mentor to the students ardent in bakery. In first year the students learn about basic cakes, breads, biscuits and desserts. The students gain knowledge about various techniques vital in preparation of these items and the ideal temperature and time required to cook it. The 1st year Bakery is also well equipped with modern equipment such as deck ovens, planetary mixers etc. Each student is emphasised upon in the class and gets a separate working station where he/she works. The Chef pays equal and timely attention towards all the students and helps them develop a superior skill set and interest towards Bakery. It is made sure that proper decorum and discipline is maintained round the clock. A prime hygiene standard is maintained throughout the class, the working stations and sinks are to be maintained and kept sterile by the students. Largely the Bakery sector is at an ascend in India and opening a bakery is thriving business. The students who are ardent towards bakery can specialise in this field and pursue a career as a pastry chef and can even open their own patisserie.
